Question
BH
Im a single bochur living in a shared basement
Due to issues of domestic violence Im not able to light menorah in the place I sleep
Is it better to light at a friends house that I sometimes eat at than not eat at all?
(I havent eaten regularly at the basement for about a month and dont plan on doing so as of now)
Answer
Thank you for your question,
I don't completely understand why you can't light in your house. However, Some say that if you eat at your friend's house and are there during all the hours that one can light the menorah, then you may light at his house or join his lighting even if you go back home to sleep afterwards.
All the best!
