Question
so I just got a Siddur and Im just a little bit confused on a few things. What prayers should I be praying the morning? I always say Shema, and Mode Ani. are there other main morning prayers I should say?
Answer
ב"ה Shalom My best wishes upon receiving your new Siddur, may Hashem answer your prayers. After Modeh Ani and washing your hands, women are obligated to say "birkot Hashachar" , Asher Yatzar, Elokai Neshama, Birkot Hatorah and the morning blessings, as they appear in the Siddur saying שעשני כרצונו , instead of שלא עשני אישה. Saying Shema is the proper thing to do and you should say אמת ויציב. . and Shmoneh Esreh. However, if circumstances do not enable you to do so, you should at least say a short prayer which includes praise, a request, and thanks to Hashem shortly after waking in the morning. (See הליכות בת ישראל פרק ב, התפילה כהלכתה פרק א: ט, פניני הלכה תפילת נשים ) All the best
