Ask the Rabbi
Question
Hi Rabbi,
G-D sanctified the shabbat. Though I do work on the shabbat I want to at least not make the day in some way unholy.
Lets say I have a bad habit of smoking during the week, and on shabbat I choose not to out of respect for G-D.
Does that in any violate that Noahide should not keep shabbat?
Kind regards, Jason
Answer
Hi Jason,
Any thing you do out of respect for G-d is blessed.
The only thing a Noahide should not be doing regarding Shabbat, is to fully observe Shabbat the way a Jew should be observing.
