<p><b>דף חדש</b></p><div>רבינו '''זכריה אלצ'אהרי''' נולד ב[[תימן]] בשנת [[1519]] בקירוב. הוא נקרא גם '''רבי יחיא אלצ'אהרי'''. על אף היותו תושב העיר כאוכבאן הצפונית לעיר הבירה צנעא, הייתה השפעתו גם על צנעא.<br />

כשהיה בן 20 עזב את עיר אבותיו ואת ארץ מולדתו ויצא לתור בעולם. מתימן פנה מזרחית ל[[הודו]], [[ממלכת פרס|פרס]], [[עיראק]] ו[[טורקיה]]. משם המשיך אל גולת הכותרת של המסע - [[ארץ ישראל]]. <br />
בארץ התעכב במיוחד בערים [[צפת]] ו[[טבריה]].<br />
בצפת הוא התרשם מסדרי ה[[ישיבה]] שבראשה עמד רבי [[יוסף קארו]], בעל ה"[[שולחן ערוך]]", ומהנהגותיו. מארץ ישראל הוא הדרים ל[[מצרים]]. במהלך מסעותיו פגש דמויות חשובות נוספות בעולם היהדות, כגון הרב [[סעדיה בן יוסף]], הרב [[משה קורדובירו]], והרב [[משה מטראני]]. <br />

בצפת של אותם ימים היו גם חכמים רבים שעסקו בתורת ה[[קבלה]]. הרז"א ספג לתוכו את אווירת המסתורין של העיר וקלט את תורת הנסתר מ[[האר"י]] ומתלמידיו. לאחר שהתבשם מתורת ארץ ישראל בנגלה ובנסתר, הוא חזר לתימן והיה ממנהיגי הקהילה של העיר הראשית [[צנעא]].<br />

בשנים [[1568]]-[[1573]] התנהלה מלחמה בין התימנים לבין הטורקים, שבמהלכה הדפו התימנים את הטורקים מארצם. בתום המלחמה, תפסו התימנים את מנהיגיה היהודיים של העיר צנעא והשליכו אותם לבית הסוהר. אשמתם הייתה, לפי התימנים, שהם הגישו סיוע לטורקים, אויבי תימן. שבע שנים ישבו המנהיגים בבית הסוהר ועמם רז"א.<br />
הרז"א ישב פעם נוספת בבית הסוהר מסיבות שאינן ברורות.<br />

את השנים הרבות ש"ביזבז" רז"א בכלא, הוא ניצל כדי להעלות על הכתב את מה ששמע וראה במסעותיו. דברים אלו סיפר בלשון ה[[מקאמה]] (שירה סיפורית מחורזת). במאקמות שכתב רז"א הוא כלל סיפורי עמים, [[משל|משלי]] חיות, חידות לשוניות ותיאורי מסעות. בצד הדברים המשעשעים, כתב הרז"א גם דברי תוכחה, [[הגות]] ו[[פילוסופיה]].<br />

בספר המסעות שני גיבורים:<br />
# אבנר בן חלק שדמותו מעוצבת כדמותו של הסופר, כלומר משורר מוכשר שזכה לשם ולתהילה כאומן המליצה וה[[שירה]]. משורר זה בקי בכל רזי השפה העברית והערבית. הוא חכם בעל ידע רב בכל תחומי המדע והחכמה. נוסף לכך, הוא הרפתקן שאינו יודע מנוח, ובעל עורמה שמסייעת לו להיחלץ מכל צרה.<br />
# נושא כליו של אבנר - מרדכי הצידני.<br />

ד"ר משה גברא כותב באנציקלופדיה לחכמי תימן כי לדעת הרב עמרם עוזרי, בחר הרז"א לשני גיבוריו את שתי השמות האלו דווקא שכן ייתכן ואלו הן שמות אבותיו הקדומים של הרז"א. הוא מצא שבגימטריה אבנר בן חלק הוא הסופר רבי אבנר בן מרדכי הצידוני בן [[המאה ה-14]], וכך הוא החישוב חלק = 138 ופירוש המילה חלק הוא "חצי", הוי אומר שיש להכפיל את 138 בשתיים כדי להגיע למספר השלם וכך אנו מגיעים ל 276 , ולאחר שמוסיפים עוד 3 כנגד מס' האותיות שבמילה חלק התוצאה היא 279. גם המילה "מרדכי" שווה בגימטריה 279 עם מס' אותיותיה. הגיבור השני מרדכי הצידוני הוא אביו של הסופר אבנר בן מרדכי. עוד הוא מצא שהשם של הרז"א (זכריה אלצ'אהרי) שווה בגימטריה לאבנר בן מרדכי, שניהם מגיעים ל 579. סבו של מרדכי הוא זכריה הצידוני ולדעתו ייתכן והוא הרב זכריה הצידוני שחיבר את "מאה קולין" פסקים בהילכות ריאה. על פי זה יוצא שכל העלילות שחוו שני הגיבורים בספר המוסר היו תיאורים של הרז"א על עצמו.<br />

לספר המסעות נתן את השם '''ספר המוסר''', ובהקדמה לספר הוא כתב:<br />

" ספר המוסר, כל הקורא בו ילמד מוסר,<BR><br />
ואם הוא מבין בעזרת ה' לא יחסר,<BR><br />
ואם אין לו בינה - ה' מעליו סר,<BR><br />
ולכן צריך להתפלל ולהתחנן לה' יתברך שיתן לו בינה לדעת מוסר."<br />
<br />
ספר המוסר שחיבר רז"א הוא מהיצירות השיריות האחרונות שנכתבו בשפה העברית עד לעת החדשה, וניכר מתוכנו שהמחבר ינק משירת [[ספרד]] והתבשם מטעמיה של שירת צפת.<br />

נוסף לספר המוסר, חיבר רז"א ספר הלכות בנושא [[שחיטה (יהדות)|שחיטה]] ודיני טרפות, פירוש קבלי ל[[תורה]] בשם '''צידה לדרך''' וכן שירים שונים כשהמפורסם בהם הוא "קריה יפהפייה" שנכתב בהשראת השיר "יפה נוף משוש תבל" של ר' [[יהודה הלוי]].<br />

הרז"א הביא לתימן הרחוקה את ה[[שולחן ערוך]], ומימיו התקבלה הפסיקה ההלכתית של ה"מרן" גם בתימן. בזכות רז"א התפשט בתימן גם העיון בספרות הקבלה, ורבים מיהודי המקום החלו לעסוק בקבלת האר"י.<br />

הוא נפטר בהיותו כבן שבעים שנה.<br />
