font-size: 88%; border-style: solid; border-width: 1px 1px 1px 4px; border-radius: 0.33em; border-color: #ffe49c; vertical-align: top; white-space: pre-wrap;"><div><del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">נתבקש לעבור לבאר שבע, לשקם ולהנהיג את ישיבת בני עקיבא שהוקמה שם ונקלעה לקשיים ולבעיות חמורות. הוא עבר לבאר שבע בשנת תשכ"ג. תוך מספר חודשים שיקם את "ישיבת בני עקיבא אהל שלמה", בעזרתו של הנדבן סר אייזיק וולפסון.  הישיבה פרחה ועלתה במהירות רבה, ורוב תלמידי באר שבע והנגב למדו בה. הוא הדגיש, מלבד הצד החינוכי והלימודי גם את הצד האסטתי בישיבה, ודאג ליופיה ולנקיונה של הישיבה. גם מבחינה לימודית שגשגה הישיבה, והיא אף זכתה בפרס החינוך הארצי. הוא הנהיג  את הישיבה ועמד בראשה ביד רמה עד לפטירתו. נחשב למחנך דגול והיה נערץ מאד על ידי </del>אלפי תלמידיו <del style="font-weight: bold;
