1. מסכת שבת לג ע"ב
אמר הואיל ואתרחיש ניסא, איזיל אתקין מלתא. דכתיב "ויבא יעקב שלם", (בראשית לג, יח), ואמר רב שלם בגופו שלם בממונו שלם בתורתו, "ויחן את פני העיר" (שם), אמר רב מטבע תיקן להם ושמואל אמר שווקים תיקן להם ור' יוחנן אמר מרחצאות תיקן להם.
2. הראי"ה קוק, עין איה, שבת ב, רפג על מסכת שבת לג ע"ב
אמר הואיל ואתרחיש ניסא, איזיל אתקין מלתא.
א. ראוי לאדם להכיר תמיד את גדולת הערך של הכלל, עד שהמאורעות הגדולים, יותר מכוונים, יהיו בדרכי חייו אם ימצא להם קישור באיזה ענין כללי. ע"כ בהזדמן לאדם הצלה גדולה, רבת עליליה התופסת מקום גדול בחייו, לא יספיק לו שיצמצם פעולתו רק בחוגו הפרטי כ"א ידע שמאורע גדול יש לו ודאי ענין לדבר גדול, והדבר יהיה אז גדול כשימשך ממנו יחש לטובה כללית. ע"כ הואיל ואתרחיש ניסא, איזיל אתקין מלתא.
3. ר' יעקב בן הרא"ש, טור אורח חיים סימן תיז
ושמעתי מאחי הרב יחיאל טעם לדבר לפי שהמועדים נתקנו כנגד אבות, פסח כנגד אברהם דכתיב "לושי ועשי עוגות" - פסח היה. שבועות כנגד יצחק שתקיעת שופר של מתן תורה היה בשופר מאילו של יצחק, סוכות כנגד יעקב דכתיב "ולמקנהו עשה סוכות".
4. ר' חיים בן עטר, אור החיים הק', בראשית לג, יז-
"ויעקב נסע סכותה ויבן לו בית ולמקנהו עשה סוכות על כן קרא שם המקום סוכות". ואם תאמר וכי בשביל שעשה שם יעקב סוכה יקרא למקום כן? אולי כי עשה דבר חדש בחמלתו על המקנה מה שלא עשה כן אדם קודם שיכין סוכה לבהמות ולשינוי חדש קרא המקום עליו.
5. הראי"ה קוק, אורות הקודש ג, מוסר הקודש, עמ' קמז - היסוד הכללי - קא
היסוד הכללי - האדם צריך להחלץ תמיד ממסגרותיו הפרטיות, הממלאות את כל מהותו, עד שכל רעיונותיו סובבים תמיד רק על דבר גורלו הפרטי, שזהו מוריד את האדם לעומק הקטנות, ואין קץ ליסורים גשמיים ורוחניים, המסוּבבים מזה. אבל צריך שתהיה מחשבתו ורצונו, ויסוד רעיונותיו נתונים להכללות, לכללות הכל, לכללות העולם, לאדם, לכללות ישראל, לכל היקום. ומזה תתבסס אצלו גם הפרטיות שלו בצורה הראויה.
6. אורות הקודש ד, עמ' תעו - הענוה והכרת האמת- הענוה מנמיכה את הדעת העליונה של האדם, ומורידה את אורה לעומק עומקה של נשמתו, וע"י זה מכיר הוא את האמת לאמתה. וכפי רוב הענוה האמת האלהית מתגלה אליו. וכל הדעות הרעות, ותולדותיהן, וכל מיני דרכי עבודה זרה, הכל נובעים הם ממקור המשחת של הגאוה, שהיא מרימה את הלב, ואינה מניחה להאור של הנשמה לחדור לעומק העצמיות של האדם, ונשאר כולו שקוע באפלה.
7. הרי"מ חרל"פ, ממעייני הישועה, עמ' יב- כשמגיע תור התגלות צעדי הגאולה, ראשית התשובה היא, לשוב ולהקיץ מחדש את מושגי הכלל הנעלם של ישראל, ולהתנער לאט לאט מהפרטיות, שמתוך זה יחדלו כליל כל החטאים והעיוותים.

This may be the most important class of the entire book, where we finally get to the Jewish proof of the existence of G-d and truth of the Torah. We should follow His own direction where He tells us how to get to Him: through the Nation of Israel: Jewish history, Jewish prophets (and today, prophecies fulfilled), and national reward & punishment towards Am Yisrael.
