Parashat Hashavua Series'Library Piskei Din (Hebrew)Test Yourself

Parshat Metzora continues the topic of tzara'at, detailing the three-part purification process of the Metzora which is administered by the Kohen: immersions, offerings & shaving of the body.

When tzara'at afflicts a house, the Kohen may order the house demolished as a final resort. While this is traumatic, Chazal say that as a result of the demolishment, the owner will discover jewels and gold secreted by the previous owners in the walls of the house.

She told the regional beit din that she agrees to be categorized as a moredet (a wife who denies her husband conjugal rights) and thereby lose rights to payment of her ketuba in return for a get.
