Do trumot and maaserot apply to growing various teas ( at home ) - such as spearamint and louisia. If used for making teas or just for fragrances.

There is a dispute among the Rabbis if trumot and maaserot apply to these leafy herbs which people do not eat but only want for flavor or fragrance. Therefore, Machon Hatorah v'Haaretz , recommends to take trumot and maaserot but without a Beracha.
To the readers abroad, this obviously applies only to things grown in Eretz Yisrael.
In regard, to bugs in these leafy herbs, one must be extremely careful examining them and always prefer the specially grown bug free herbs.
