Question
My grandson went through a serious illness. We are making a seudat Hodaya.
He is 6 years old...can/should he say birkat hagomel?
We will have a minyan, of course.

I am very happy to hear that your grandson is now after his illness. May Hashem grant him much stength.
The Mishna Brura writes (סי' רי"ט: ד) that a child under Bar Mitzva does not say Hagomel. This is the common Minhag and neither does the father say. (פסקי תשובות ריט: ט)
A Se'uda is therefore appropriate.
