Now that it’s Elul it’s my first year observing holidays which I’m very happy about, anything that I should do and focus on during the 40 days? Giving more tzedakah? Tefillah? Anything specific to be saying or doing to get mercy blessings and salvation from Hashem? I already had such a good year of discovering judisim and becoming religious. Anytime I should focus on when to give charity to the poor? Before Yom Kippur should I donate money? Thank you
