Is a woman required to say "Birchat HaGomel" in a minyan of ten men or is she allowed to say it before nine women and one man?

Though the Mishna Brura brings the option of making the Bracha before nine women and one man, since some of the Achronim think this is a mistaken custom (as I've heard form the Rishon Letzion, Harav Mordechai Eliyahu Shlit"a), it's better for her to say Hagomel to ten men from behind a Mechitza.
