Dedication of Torah
Question
A TORAH is being written in memory of the my parents and my wife’s parents.
How should we write their names on the TORAH cover?
1. Their Jewish names and the names of their fathers?
2. Their First and Last Names?
Thank you
Answer
There is no preferance to writing in either way. Out of respect, one writes the Father's name or the surname. Anyway, it is advisable to write their Jewish names.
