Question
My husband accidentally dropped a meet utensil into my dairy sink. In the dairy sink was a Dairy pot soaking in water. The water was cold. Do I need to kosher the utensil or just wash it?
Answer
Shalom,
Thank you for your question. I assume that the meat utensil was also cold (that is not so hot as to be unable to be touch with bare hands). If so, then we have a situation of cold contact, which according to the halacha does not transfer any taste. All that needs to be done is to wash everything up in water that itself is not hot.
Blessings.
