Question
May a woman study mishnayot to give a neshama an aliyah?

I was told by Rav Yakov Ariel Shlit"a, the Chief Rabbi of Ramat Gan, that if the sole purpose of studying the Mishnayot is to give the Neshama an Aliya, it is permitted and praiseworthy.
