Rabbi, Thank you for your response. The Hassidim generally counter by saying that they aren’t teaching the secrets directly, but through Hassidut, which presents the esoteric side of the Torah in a way that is understandable to the layman. Is there any truth to this argument?

Definitely.Especially as we approach redemption, these "secrets" will become more and more popular, out of necessity to teach the deep and beautiful aspects of Torah to attract the masses. The general public is a lot more sophisticated than they used to be and demand (and require) the complete Torah!
