Question
Is G-d everywhere? Meaning is everything infused with G-dliness? Isn’t this idolatry?
Answer
Pantheism, which says everything is god, is idolatry. On the other hand, we believe there is “Godliness” everywhere. The world is “in” God, and He is the place of the world. Both Hassidim and mitnagdim agree on this because there is a huge difference between Creator (=God) and “created” (has Godliness).
