Shaitel and shaving of the head
Question
Is there any halachic requirement for a married woman to shave her head and then cover it with a shaitel? Wouldn’t this defeat the purpose of having a woman be attractive to her own husband?
Answer
Shalom U'vracha
There is no halachic requirement for a woman to shave her hair. There are some (very few) people who have the custom to shave their hair as they are concerned that the hair is a barrier in the mikveh.
A married woman has to cover her hair.
