Shalom, Originally all Ashkanazi Jews prayed nusach Ashkanaz. After the Hassidic movement spread through Europe many communities started praying nusach Sefard. In some places this took hold more strongly than others, and Hungary is one area where it was very widespread. Still, it would be hard to say that all Hungarian Jews made this change. Blessings.
