Question
I live in England and am going to Israel for Pesach. What should I do when my hosts finish Pesach and Yom Tov a day before I do?
Many thanks
Answer
The Mishna Berura and Rabbi Moshe Fienstien write that you must obey all Halachot of Yom Tov and your hosts are forbidden to do anything for you that you cannot do (such as lighting a flame ect..). This is the Minhag of Chu"l.
[I have heard the Chief Rabbanut of Israel has given a Psak in the name of the Shu"t Chacham Tzvi that in Israel one should follow the minhag of Israel.]
