can we wear shatnes in beis knesset? if you are non kohen and if you are kohen?
we can use woolen talit with linen cloths yes?
Answer
ב"ה
Shalom
The prohibition of wearing Shatnez applies to all Jews in our time, Kohen, Levy and Yisrael and in all places Beit Knesset or elsewhere.
However, according to the commandment of the Torah, the Kohen Gadol wore a belt which was Shatnez (Shemot 39:29) and according to the Rambam the belt of the Kohen Hedyot was also of Shatnez. (רמב"ם כלי המקדש ח:א-ב) . In addition, the Rambam limits the time of wearing Shatnez only when the Kohanim were servicing Hashem. (רמב"ם כלי המקדש ח:יא)
In regard to Shatnez in Tzizit, although in theory according to the Talmud , (see Menachot 39b-40a) Shatnez is allowed in Tzizit, practically the Rabbis made a decree, forbidding it and Tzizit is worn today with no Shatnez.
(רמב"ם הלכות ציצית פרק ג הלכה ז, שולחן ערוך אורח חיים הלכות ציצית סימן ט סעיף ב)
All the best. Happy Purim.

Can a woman marry a Kohen in this case?
