Ask the Rabbi
Question
I am very curious if it is even possible that Mary and Joseph could have denied each other sexual relations once married in the First Century Jewish Law without one of them being in danger of being declared a Moredet?
I look forward to your response(s)!
Thank you!
Answer
In any event, with or without the status of Mored/et, it's prohibited for either the husband or wife to deny relations to their spouse.
