Tzitzit

Question
Hello, I was just wondering if you perhaps know if a towel that is worn requires tzitzit ( the ones little kids wear after swimming) It has a split that is a majority of the actual begged and has four corners..... I need a source for the answer, please.. Thanks
Answer
See Shulchan Aruch 18:1 quotes the Rosh that in order for Tzizit to be required that which is worn must be considered a garment. Since a towel is meant for drying purposes and not meant to be a garment it is not required to have Tzizt. This is the opinion of the Gaon Rav Dov Lior in the Hebrew counterpart to this site.
