Photo with ex-wife
Question
In reference to picture taking. Should a man who is divorced and remarried be in the same picture as his ex-wife?
Answer
Shalom,
Thank you for your question. There is certainly nothing forbidden in a divorced couple being photographed together. In many cases this would be a good thing – for example a picture of them together with their (joint) children, which would serve a memento for the family etc. However, each case should be looked at separately. One does not want to cause any undue pain or conflict. So, if taking such pictures is going to stir up old wounds, it should be avoided.
Bottom line – it is permitted, and one should use their common sense in making sure that people are not offended.
Blessings.
