I was advised that one must not remove all plates from the shabbos table at one time but remove each one separately is this true?

Shalom, Thank you for your interesting question. I must admit that I have never heard of any law of this type, nor could I think of any possible source or custom it might possibly come from. That being so, you may remove the plates from the table as you like. Have a Shabbat Shalom - and a holy (and clean) Shabbat table!
