Question
Hi Rav, I have a question please. For a school assignment, I have to “carefully read and review the course syllabus.” Then, I have to complete the quiz to verify my understanding of the policies. Can I look at the syllabus while answering the questions on the quiz? (The questions are about the syllabus)
Answer
It depends on their conditions, and apparently, if they don't stipulate that it's a "closed-book quiz" (which in fact, should be explicit, and if it isn't, apparently they realize and acquiesce to the fact that many will refer back to the syllabus), then apparently it's allowed to look back at the syllabus.
