Understanding a quote from Rebbe Nahman

Rebbe Nahman from Breslev said If you believe breaking is possible, believe fixing is possible why rabbi did not use the word "know" instead of believe?

ב"ה Shalom, It seems to me that the simple explanation is that the entire passage place an emphasis on belief and in no way to despair.
