Question
Hi, I would like to ask a question regarding mixed marriages. If the husband is Ashkenazi and wife is Sephardic (or vice versa) what should the newly married couple do in terms of customs and Minhagim? Additionally, also relating to the halachic sources that they will consult with. This obviously includes children who will be mixed. Many thanks
Answer
In general, when the husband and wife have different customs, the couple follow those of the husband. Accordingly, if the husband is ashkenazic, they will generally follow the halacha of the Rama and Mishna Brura.
