Question
Dear Rabbi. Following on from the previous question regarding requesting guaranteed delivery which is due on shabbat or for Monday which would involve work on shabbat, would there be any issue ordering on Friday using a normal 3-5 day delivery service where the seller is likely to dispatch the package on shabbat? I am referring to a case where the buyer is not asking for delivery on a specific date and may not even care when it arrives, but by nature of ordering on a Friday, it is likely that work will be done on shabbat to dispatch the packet. In such a case is there any requirement to not benefit from the delivery of the package until adding on the time that working on shabbat would have contributed to the delivery (I have read this concept somewhere in KSA)? Thanks

I basically answered that question, in my previous answer.
The Gemara says that if the payment was made before Shabbat, even just before Shabbat (according to the Rambam , רמב"ם הלכות שבת פרק ו הלכה כ and Shulchan Aruch (שולחן ערוך אורח חיים הלכות שבת סימן רמז סעיף א then he may give it to the non-Jew for delivery . Since, once the money was given, the non-Jew is working on his own behalf to do things as he wishes.
Therefore, once you've paid even on Friday, it is permitted since , it is not like you are ordering them to work on Shabbat, but they are doing their work as they seem fit.
