Question
You know how people refer to Jerusalem as the capital of the monarchy? What do they mean by this? Thank you.

I have not heard of that expression. However, I can only imagine it is because King David reigned as the king of Israel in Jerusalem for 33 years. (See Samuel II, 5:5)
