Question
I am home in Chuts l’Arets with my "angry, impatient, irritable" father who is not religious. We are preparing Shabbos dinner, and my father emptied out scalding hot water from a porcelain bowl into a sink used for both meat and milk. He lowered the bowl and allowed the bowl to touch the bottom of the sink. Does this render the bowl treif? How should I proceed. Kol hacavod. Thank you.
Answer
Being that the boiling water as it was poured, apparently did not simultaneously (!) touch meat, milk and the sink together, you don’t need to kasher the sink, nor the bowl.
