church records
Question
Is one allowed to derive benefit from searching through church records for genealogy research?
Thank you
Answer
Shalom,
The records themselves are not part of any religious service and as such are not forbidden to benefit from. If, however, one needs to enter the church, or pay, to look through the records, then you should be in touch with further details.
