Question
Once obtaining a new jewish name does that mean that my life will be blessed, or will my life be the same as old??
Answer
The Talmud states that a new name brings new 'Mazal'. Mazal is translated as luck though it is so much more than that.
A new name has the power to change a persons situation, though this will likely be shortlived if no effort by the person is made. A life of blessing can be helped by changing a name, but is mainly a concequence of performing good deeds, learning Torah, improving who you are and praying from the heart.
May you only experience Hashems most Divine blessings always!
