Question
My three year old daugther was saved b"h from falling from a window on the third floor.
She climbed out the window and b"h i noticed and pulled her to safty at the last minute.
I wanted my husband to say bircat hagomel for her at shul, but he was told that parents don’t say it for their children.
Is this true?
and if so, what should i do? try to have her say it? just give Tzidaka?
Answer
A child under Bar or Bat mitzvah does not say Hagomel nor anyone on his behalf.
You can't go wrong giving Tzedaka.
