Pri Ha’adama on Tu Bishvat
Question
On Tu Bishvat, shoud one make Brachot also on fuits and vegetables which grow from the ground and not from the trees (like peanuts and potatoes)?
Answer
No, Tu Bishvat is Rosh Hashana for the trees, so we make blessings on the fruit that come from the trees "Bore Pri Ha'etz" and not "Bore Pri Ha'adama".
