Question
What is the Masoretic Text? Is it kosher? Is it the same as the Tanach from mesorah? If so, wouldn’t we just call that Tanach?
Answer
The Mesorah is the meticulous authentic Jewish version of the text in Tanach.
"The Tanach" is the Mesoratic text.
Maybe the term "Mesoratic text" sounds to some academic scholars a fancier and more accurate word; so be it.
