Question
I have been covering my hair since I married. I recently read somewhere that a woman should not wear a sheitel and only use scarves, kerchiefs, etc. to cover her hair. Is this true? What if my husband prefers me to wear a sheitel?
Answer
This is an old dispute that has recently received a lot of coverage particularly in Eretz Yisroel. Most of the great gedolim of North America in the last generation allowed the wearing of sheitels, and You (and your husband) have the right to rely on this position.
