Mikvah after pregnancy
Question
I had a baby girl. It will be seven weeks this wednesday. When can I start bedikah? What day is the earliest i can go to the mikvah if i’m clean?
Thank you.
Answer
Shalom U'verachah,
Mazal Tov, generally we do not hold by the Torah law of a specific waiting period after giving birth, unless you have a specific family minhag to do the opposite. Therefore when the bleeding has ceased you can check for seven clean days and then go to the mikvah.
