Did Noah’s flood start on Rosh Hashanah?
Answer
There is a disagreement in the Talmud (Rosh Hashana 11b).
According to Rabbi Eliezer the Flood started on the 17th of Cheshvan (the second month) and according to Rabbi Yehoshua it started on the17th of Iyar (the 7th month).
