Could you please tell me a little about Ben Pekuah and why it is not available in the Kosher butcher shops?
Answer
Ben Pakua is the Live newborn offspring of a Kosher animal that comes out of the slaughtered (Shchita) parent after the Shchita. The situation is extremely unusual and therefore unlikely to be found in the stores.
