Question
I would like to know why animals are considered muktzeh on shabbat. I feed my own cats, as well as street cats. thank you. zahava
Answer
The basic definition is that animals you are not obligated to feed (because they are not yours) are Muktze. For further understanding, you could look in Rabbi Feinstein's book on Hilchot Shabbat. Rabbi Yitzchak Grinblat
