Is the liquor absinthe kosher? Does it need supervision?

Answer
Classic absinthe liquor is made from kosher ingredients (herbs and sugar). It is a good policy to look for kashrut supervision on all processed foods, as many additives of various sources are used in foods. A liquor expert would have to be consulted to determine if there are any such additives in absinthe liquor.
