God’s Judgements
Question
Why are no leaders in Israel calling out for a unified repentence? So much of Israel has turned away from the Torah and the rest of the Tanakh. The breaking of the Ten Commendments alone condemns most of our Jewish people. Calling out for prayer is one thing, but HaShem has always turned way his punishment when we repented. Why do the Orthodox and other Rabbis not call out for repentence?
Answer
For better or for worse, calling for repentance is not enough to convince people to change their behavior. Each person tries to improve himself and hopefully to influence others through education and by example.
