Question
I read in the Yiddish Forverts that a group of people in India were thought to be of the tribe Manassah and were formally converted and recently made aliyah to Israel. My question is this: Is the Moshiach supposed to be the one who brings the exiled tribes back? Or is it to be that the tribes coming back is supposed to bring about the Moshiach’s entrance.

The Rambam says that if one brings back the exiles among other things, then we will know that he is the Mashiach. So according to that, it seems that the Mashiach will bring them, however, just because they come before anyone leader brings them back does not negate the fact that they are not from Benei Menashe.
