Recently visiting Israel. asked which way to daven. if sun rises in east and Jerusalem is behind you, do you turn towards Jerusalem or continue to the east? seems dome of rock will be in rear of those who daven to mecca, & thought it irreligious to have the Holy city behind me?

You should always stand towards Jerusalem. If you are east of Jerusalem you should turn to the west. Rabbi Yitzchak Grinblat
