Question
I recently went with my wife and son to a cemetary to visit my mother in law who is burried in the cemetary. My son broght our tefilin and suggested that we put tefilin and pray Shacrit next to the grave. I started putting Tefilin shel Yad and stopped immediately remembering that according to Masechet Berachot we are not allowed to put tefilin in a cemerary. Was I right, what about the blessing of putting tefilin
Answer
One does not don Tefilin in a cemetery as it is an act of mockery to the deceased who cannot. It is called in Chazal - La'ag Larash.
