Question
Is a woman permitted to daven maariv on friday night after the meal? Also, if a woman davens maariv before sunset with a minyan on Erev Shabbat is she required to repeat the shema after dark as men do?
Answer
She can daven Maariv after the meal. As she is not obliged to daven at all, she does not have to repeat the Shma.
