Question
I want to know if Israel was flooded by the Mabul?
Answer
According to Pirkei D'Rabbi Eliezer, chapter 23, the flood rains did not fall in the land of Israel, but water did flow in from the surrounding lands. Several other Midrashim indicate that Israel was not flooded. It can be inferred that the water that flowed in was not of flood variety.
