Question
Why are Righteous Gentiles not considered as worthy of having a place in the world to come as are Jews? Are they not pious in and of themselves for treating Jews with bounteous Chesed, if we may apply the word "Chesed" to the actions of Righteous Gentiles?
Answer
Righteous gentiles receive a place in the coming world (see for instance Tosefta Sanhedrin, 13;2). Certainly those whoshow chesed to the Jewish people are meritorious, and Rabbiu Yehudah haChassid says one may recite kaddish for such a non Jew.
