Question
If a person can influence in his community in the diaspora by staying there, it is better to him to stay there or he should not waste his time being in chutz laaretz and make aliya? What are the mekorot to take that desition?
Answer
Living in Israel is a great mitzvah, and I reccommend it for one and all. There are other great mitzvot, and often the choice has no clear guideline or precedent. I believe one should consult a halachic authority for good advice on this issue.
