Prophecy of non Jews
Question
Do Jews accept also those prophets who were not mentioned in Jewish Bible? Are Jews also consider them true prophets of one God?
Answer
The Eliyahu Rabba (10) writes that also non Jews can receive prophesy, in fact the Torah notes Bilam as one,
It therefore can be that a non-Jew over the history had received prophecy.
I never heard of one but we never heard of most prophets. (Megilah 14a)
Those, which some religions over the world claim to be prophets - are not and never were. (Rambam, Yesodei Hatorah 8)
